Event Overview

The 5 Mile Leprechaun Chase & 1-mile Leprechaun Leap takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Nappanee, Indiana. It is the 6th annual edition of this event.

Distances

The event consists of two distances:

5 Mile Leprechaun Chase (run)
1 Mile Leprechaun Leap (run/walk)

Course & Details

The course is described as flat and fast, passing through parks and neighborhoods in Nappanee. The event will be chip-timed.

Awards

Awards are given for in-person participants only.

For the 5 Mile race, awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as age group winners in the categories 39 & Under and 40+.
For the 1 Mile race, awards are given to the top youth finishers in multiple age groups from 4 & Under up to 13-14.

Attire & Theme

Participants are encouraged to wear green or Irish-themed costumes in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Registration & Apparel

Event t-shirts are available for order during the registration process but will not be sold on the day of the event. The registration fee is $40 for the 5-mile race and $15 for the 1-mile race.

Fleet Feet Mishawaka on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
Nappanee Public Library (inside) on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Nappanee Public Library (parking lot) on the morning of the event, Saturday, March 21, 2026.
