Miles of Music 5K
The Miles of Music 5K takes place on the historic Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air, Maryland. This event combines physical activity with live entertainment to support the local music community in Harford County. Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5K run
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The course features live music performed by local musicians positioned along the trail. These performances are intended to provide a rhythmic backdrop and motivation for participants throughout the entire distance.
The event is organized by The Turntable Fund, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on providing financial relief to local musicians during times of need, such as illness, injury, or unforeseen cancellations. Proceeds from the race contribute to this fund and support a scholarship program for aspiring musicians.
Packet pick up is held at the Independent Brewing Company on the Friday and Saturday of the race weekend. The trail location is specifically situated on Williams Street within Bel Air. Registration is open to the general public, including friends and families who wish to walk or run in support of the regional music scene.
