Summer Track Series #3
The Baltimore Road Runners Club sponsors an annual Summer Track Series held at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD. The series includes meets on June 10, June 17, June 24, and July 1, with Wednesday July 15 reserved as a potential make-up date. Each meet is hosted at the Calvert Hall track.
Registration and waivers are completed at the track before events. Participants under 18 must have parental or guardian permission. Meets are organized as developmental track competitions intended to give athletes experience competing in specific events. The club lists the meets as free and open to all runners; voluntary donations support the Charlie Reynolds Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The program includes special youth events: Tots and Toddlers (ages 5 and under) and Junior Sprinters (ages 6-8 and 9-12). The meet schedule also includes treats and recognition for perfect attendance, with a special award presented at the final meet.
Parking and the track entrance are on the Putty Hill Avenue side of the school; directions note travel from Goucher Boulevard to Putty Hill Avenue. Weather and air quality can affect meet status; the club uses a heat-index threshold of 100 measured in the late afternoon as one criterion for changes or cancellations.
