Miles for Migraine - Lorton

Miles for Migraine DC/VA/MD 2026 is the 10th annual event held at Laurel Hill Park Central Green in Lorton, Virginia on October 3, 2026. The event combines community activities, speakers, and a festival area with options for in-person and virtual participation. Funds raised support Miles for Migraine programs and services and the MedStar Georgetown Headache Center for local migraine research and fellowship training.

The event program includes:

• 2 mile walk
• 5K chip timed run

Additional in-person options include a Relax area where participants can listen to speakers and visit sponsors without using the course, and a free Map the Migraine treasure hunt suitable for children and adults. The 5K run is professionally chip timed. Walk and Relax options are free; some paid options do not include participant shirts. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal. Virtual participants can register for a participant shirt and receive event swag by mail for an additional charge.

There are fundraising prizes and awards by category, including top individual fundraiser, top fundraising team, largest patient caregiver advocate team, spirit award, and overall winners by gender and non binary category. Packet pick up is available the day before the event at a local running store and at the event site on event day. Participants are invited to wear purple for a chance at a prize.
