Miles for Micah 5K / Mile / Kids Dash
The Miles for Micah event takes place in the Historic Harmony Borough, Pennsylvania. This community gathering offers several participation options to support a local family managing expenses related to a childhood cancer diagnosis. The course winds through the borough, beginning at the Harmony Museum located at 218 Mercer Street.
Participants can choose from a variety of distances and formats:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids Dash for young children
- Virtual Run/Walk with 5K or 1-mile options
The in-person events conclude at Wood Street Park. For those traveling by car, parking is available at Grace Church lots as well as several public municipal lots located throughout the Historic Harmony Borough.
Individuals who register by March 19th are guaranteed an event shirt. All proceeds from registration fees are provided to the designated family to assist with medical and travel costs associated with monthly treatments at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The event highlights progress in the fight against Alveolar Soft-Part Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, celebrating recent positive developments in the patient's treatment scans.
