About the race
The Miles for Meals event is a 5K run and walk benefiting Food for the Journey Project (FJP). The course is an out-and-back route totaling 3.1 miles on the scenic bike path adjacent to Southern Ohio Brewing in Beavercreek, Ohio. The event is open to runners, walkers, and families and takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Event day includes packet pick-up and same-day registration, the 5K run and walk, finish-line celebrations, a light brunch provided by FJP, and an awards presentation. Participants may also choose to celebrate at the nearby brewery after the event. Volunteers will staff a water station at the turnaround and provide on-course encouragement. Organizers are working to have a trained medical volunteer onsite in case of emergency.
Registration fees vary by date: entries through August 16 are $30, August 17 through August 30 are $35, and August 31 through race day are $40. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations submitted by September 12; some shirts may be available on race day but are not guaranteed. Registration fees are nonrefundable and nontransferrable. Proceeds support FJP’s work providing hundreds of meals each week to individuals and families across the Miami Valley. Southern Ohio Brewing and community supporters are listed as event partners.
