Event Information
The sixth annual Miles for Maddog is a chip-timed running event with U.S. Track & Field certification for its course. It takes place at 19900 South Harlem Avenue in Frankfort, Illinois. The event supports the mission of the Maddog Strong Foundation.
Distances
The event offers two in-person distance options and a virtual option:
- A 10K run.
- A 5K run or walk.
- A Virtual Race to be completed on a participant's own course.
The Cause
This event celebrates organ and tissue donation. It honors donors, recipients, first responders, healthcare workers, and caregivers. Registration fees and donations support the Maddog Strong Foundation's work to educate teens and young adults about donor registration and encourage family conversations on the topic.
Event Details
Participants who pre-register by the specified date receive an official race shirt. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories. Teams can be formed during registration. The event includes water stations on the course and post-race snacks.
Strollers and dogs are permitted but must start at the back and owners must clean up after their pets. The race follows all applicable health guidelines and proceeds rain or shine, with no refunds for cancellation due to weather.
