Event overview
Miles for Maddog is a chip-timed running and walking event held on June 27, 2026, in Frankfort, Illinois, at 19900 South Harlem Avenue. The course is certified and the event is sanctioned by U.S. Track & Field. Distances offered include:

The event honors organ and tissue donors, transplant recipients, first responders, healthcare workers, and caregivers. Proceeds support the Maddog Strong Foundation and its education work aimed at teens, young adults, and their families about organ and tissue donation.
Logistics and rules
Race packet pick-up is available the week before the event at the Maddog Strong Foundation offices in Mokena, Illinois (dates listed in event information). Water is provided on course and snacks and water are available after the finish. Strollers and dogs are permitted on the course; participants must be courteous, start near the back of the group if using a stroller or dog, and clean up after pets. Roads on the course are not closed to traffic, so normal traffic safety rules apply.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in these age categories: 12 & under; 13 - 17; 18 - 29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; and 60 & over. The event follows applicable CDC and IDPH health guidelines and operates rain or shine. Refund and rescheduling policies are noted in the event information.
