About the race
The MileBuilt Lake Louisa 2-Day Challenge is a two day running event held April 24–25, 2027 at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida. The event offers repeated laps of a measured 6.22-mile out-and-back loop on paved park roads that start and finish at the Hitching Post. The loop follows the park road over the rolling hills of the Lake Wales Ridge; one repeat gains about 130 vertical feet, and a 50K streak across the weekend accumulates roughly 1,300 vertical feet. Distances run the same loop; longer distances repeat the loop.
All distances are available each day, so participants may enter a single day as a standalone race or enter both days as a consecutive Streak. Streak entrants sign a pledge at registration and earn a Tier Patch for completing the two day streak. Every finish earns a Daily Finisher Medallion. This is a cupless event.
Runners must carry their own fluids; MileBuilt provides water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks at the Hitching Post start/finish and an unmanned aid point at the north-end turnaround. The course is not chip timed; finishes are recorded at the MileBuilt Time Clock. To record an official finish, runners cross the line, strike the gong, and complete the Clock Out process. Additional details: the park is gated, parking and event fields are located between the Hitching Post and the campground, and on site camping and cabins are reserved through Florida State Parks.
