2026 Migration 5K Run - Homer Spit, May 10, 2026
The Migration Run is an annual event organized by the Kachemak Bay Running Club on the Homer Spit in Homer, Alaska. The main race is a USATF Certified 5k on a flat, point-to-point course along the Homer Spit Trail. The 5K course begins at the Homer Spit Fishing Hole area and uses the Spit Trail toward the base of the Spit.
New for 2026 is the Kids and Family 1 Mile, an out-and-back youth run that starts and ends at the Migration 5K finish line at the base of the Spit. The races are sponsored by the Kachemak Bay Running Club and proceeds benefit local youth running sports programs.
Online registration is available through Saturday, May 9. Day-of registration is offered. Published fees for the Migration Run 5k list $25 for adults and $10 for youth 17 and under with a higher fee for day-of registration; current KBRC members receive a $5 discount. The Kids and Family 1 Mile is free.
