MightyMite Triathlon
The MightyMite Triathlon is the 43rd annual point-to-point-to-point triathlon held in Forrest City, Arkansas. The event uses Village Creek State Park for the swim start, includes a bike segment that finishes at East Arkansas Community College for transition two, and concludes with a run into downtown Forrest City at the Forrest City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Distances:
- 1/3 mile swim
- 13 mile bike
- 3 mile run
The bike course is described as gently rolling with approximately 550 feet of elevation gain and only a few turns on the 13 mile section. Participants are required to check in at Transition Area 2 (East Arkansas Community College) before proceeding to Transition Area 1 (Village Creek State Park); bike racks are numbered and assigned. Race-provided drop bags transport only the items placed in the provided bag from T1 to T2, and those bags are available for collection at T2 later in the morning.
Support on course includes self-service water coolers at both transition areas and one water stop on the run; participants are encouraged to carry a water bottle. Shuttle buses run between the finish line, Village Creek State Park, and East Arkansas Community College at regular intervals. The event is managed by Start 2 Finish Event Management and lists Forrest City A and P, Bluff City Sports, and a USAT certified race director among organizers and sponsors. Registration policies note no refunds and a USAT membership or one-day license is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
