Village Creek 10k/25k Trail Run
The event is scheduled for January 23, 2027 in Wynne, Arkansas at Village Creek State Park. It is a trail running event held on the park's multi use trail system that covers a little over 26 miles atop Crowley’s Ridge and lies about 6 miles south of Wynne.
Course and amenities are described as follows. The 25K is an out-and-back route that follows trail markers toward marker 20 for the turnaround. The 10K follows the same route with a turnaround at marker 16 by a picnic table. Aid stations are placed at approximate halfway points for both distances. The race is cup free so participants must bring their own bottles.
The 25K has a 6 hour time limit and includes a bib check at the turnaround roughly 3 hours and 15 minutes after the start; runners not checked out by that mark will not receive a hot cinnamon roll. The start and finish are located at the edge of the lower campground where restrooms are available. Camping close to the start and park cabins near Lake Dunn are noted as nearby lodging options. Finish provisions include buttercream icing and warm homemade cinnamon rolls.
Registration details: no race day registration, registration closes January 21, 2027 at 11:59 PM CT, no refunds, and entries may be transferred to another person before January 21, 2027.
