Mid-South Races for Hope : Wynne, Arkansas
Mid-South Races for Hope, formerly known as the Mid-South Marathon, is in its 27th year. The event takes place in Wynne and uses an out and back format that passes through part of the historic district and along Crowley’s Ridge into surrounding farm fields. The start and finish lines are at Wynne Baptist Church.
Distances offered:
- Marathon: 26.2 Miles
- Half-Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 5K: 5 kilometers
The course is certified and can serve as a Boston Marathon qualifying event. Aid stations are provided approximately every mile, with port-o-potties near each station. Each aid station is supplied with Vaseline, Gatorade, fruit, and snacks. At the finish line a traditional championship BBQ plate supper is served for finishers and their families.
Organizers note the community continues rebuilding after the March 31, 2023 tornado and aims to highlight the rural character and fall colors of Crowley’s Ridge. In place of a central pasta dinner, the event will coordinate pasta specials with locally owned restaurants for marathon weekend. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026; registration fees vary by distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
