Mighty Moose 5k Run/Walk for Ovarian Cancer
The Mighty Moose 5k is a community fundraising run and walk held in Concord, Massachusetts, with an in-person event at Concord-Carlisle Regional High School and a virtual participation option. For 2026 the event offers in-person participation on September 27 and virtual participation during the two weeks leading up to that date.
Registration for the in-person and virtual events is free for listed race entries; the organizer requests and accepts donations to support ovarian cancer research. Funds support ongoing work on ovarian cancer early detection, including the MiDe Study and the ORBIT Study and efforts to implement the OVAinform test in clinical settings in partnership with medical institutions.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk in-person and virtual
- Kids 1 Mile Race in-person
- Kids 1/2 Mile Race in-person
Packet pickup takes place the day before the in-person race at Concord-Carlisle High School; additional race information, course preview, volunteer sign-up, and fundraising details are maintained by the event organizer. The event is presented alongside the Kicks for Cancer weekend and seeks to continue prior fundraising work aimed at earlier detection and treatment of ovarian cancer.
