Boston 10K for Women
Boston 10K for Women is an annual road race established in 1977. The event takes place in Boston and brings together more than 6,000 runners and athletes of various ages and abilities. It is the longest-running women’s sporting event in New England and has focused on inspiring and empowering women through running.
The course begins on Beacon Street, passes through Back Bay, and runs across and along the Charles River. The route is described as flat and fast and offers views of Back Bay, the river, and the skylines of Boston and Cambridge. The course has attracted elite competitors and has produced multiple American records.
The event includes Kids’ Races, which are free fun runs accompanied by nutritious snacks and activities for children. An official charity program supports organizations that work to improve the lives of women and children in the Boston area.
