Event Overview
The Mighty MoJo Memorial Run for CDH Research is a fundraising and awareness event for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) research. This is the fifth annual edition. All net proceeds from the event go to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) CDH Research Fund.
Location & Date
The event takes place at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, Pennsylvania, at Pavilions 11a & 11b. The event date is a Saturday in April.
Events & Course
Two events are offered:
- A 4.4-mile run on a paved multi-use trail. The course is a single loop starting and finishing near Site 11 at the park. This unique distance commemorates 44 days. The run is professionally timed.
- A 1-mile walk on an out-and-back course, starting shortly after the run.
The event is held rain or shine.
Registration & Amenities
Registration includes a t-shirt and post-race refreshments, though shirt availability is not guaranteed after a specific date. There are tiered entry fees with early-bird pricing, and a discount is available for team registrations.
Packet pickup is available on a Wednesday evening at a location in Havertown and on the event morning at the park.
Awards & Activities
For the 4.4-mile run, awards are given to the top three overall finishers and the first-place finisher in each age group. Winners must be present. After the events, there are post-race festivities which include live music and family-friendly activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
