MIDWEST OCR

MIDWEST OCR takes place on 09/18/2027 at The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park, 2681 US-6, Marseilles, Illinois. The course runs across rugged terrain that includes hills, cliffs, ravines, creeks, and wooded trails.

The event offers multiple course formats and categories with a variety of obstacles and distances. Course examples and features:

• 3+ Mile course with 20+ obstacles
• 6+ Mile course with 30+ obstacles
• The Bearded Challenge three laps of the 6+ Mile loop
• Ruck divisions on the 3+ or 6+ Mile courses
• Kid's Course 1/4 to 1/2 mile with 10+ obstacles

Waves and competition rules are separated. Fun waves allow optional obstacles with no penalties for skipping; attempts at obstacles are encouraged but not required. Competitive divisions require 100% obstacle completion to be eligible for podium positions; racers receive multiple attempts at obstacles and may still finish the course and receive finisher items even if ineligible for a podium. Time limits apply for some competitive categories.

Ruck participants bring their own ruck or vest and weights; recommended weights are 20 lb for women and 30 lb for men. Ruck participants complete carries, crawls, and balance obstacles while other obstacles remain optional, and they receive a ruck patch plus standard finisher items.

General parking is off-site at 4 Star Campground about 2 miles from the venue for a cash fee, with an on-site VIP parking option available as a pre-paid, limited capacity choice. Volunteer shifts are available and can earn race-entry credit when completed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
