MIDWEST OCR
Midwest OCR takes place on September 19, 2026 at The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park, 2681 US-6, Marseilles, Illinois. The venue includes rugged hills, cliffs, ravines, creeks and wooded trails and hosts multiple obstacle and ruck events on the same day.
Race formats and course notes:
- 10K 6.2 miles with about 30+ obstacles
- 5K 3.1 miles with about 20+ obstacles
- Kid's Course roughly 1/4 to 1/2 mile with 10+ obstacles
Competitive 10K rules require successful completion of all obstacles to be eligible for podium placement; racers get unlimited attempts on obstacles. Overall top three male and female finishers in the elite division receive cash prizes and podium awards. Age group awards are given across listed age brackets including masters and multiple younger categories.
Ruck division participants bring their own ruck and weights. Recommended weights are 20 lb for women and 30 lb for men. Crawls and carries are required for ruck participants while other obstacles are optional. Ruck finishers receive a ruck patch as well as the event medal and shirt.
All finishers receive a finisher's shirt, a finisher's medal and professional action shot photos at no additional cost. General parking is available at 4 Star Campground about 2 miles from the venue for a cash fee; on-site VIP parking is available as a prepaid option. A hotel room block is available at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Ottawa Starved Rock Area about 13 miles away with a specified discounted rate and booking deadline.
