5k Fun Run at Midwest Coast Brewing
This event is a 5k fun run organized as part of the 2026 Illinois Brewery Running Series at Midwest Coast Brewing Company in Chicago (2137 West Walnut Street). The activity is untimed and open to running, walking, or jogging; the course is mapped to start and finish at the brewery and routes are clearly marked.
The course is an open course on public roads, so participants must follow traffic laws. The event is scheduled rain or shine; if running is not safe due to conditions, organizers plan to continue gathering at the brewery.
Registration benefits and on-site offerings include one craft brew from Midwest Coast Brewing at the finish, a choice of series swag (collector’s pint glass or a seasonal item), entry into a prize drawing, and access to post-run music, games, giveaways and partner items. Ten percent of proceeds support local nonprofits. Participants under 21 are eligible for a nonalcoholic beverage instead of an alcoholic beverage.
Event-day notes state there is no bag check, dogs and strollers are allowed with care, and a valid ID is required for age-restricted beverages.
