Midweek Aquathlon (The Bridge Events Dartford)
The Midweek Aquathlon is a continuous two stage race held at DA1 5PR that combines open water swimming with running around the lakes. The swim takes place in the south lake and the run uses laps around the lakes.
- 650 m open water swim in the south lake
- 5.7 km run, completed as three laps around the lakes
The event is organised as a series of five midweek races on these dates: 13 May, 10 June, 8 July, 12 August and 9 September. Entry fees are shown at £15 to £17 depending on the race. The field is limited to 40 participants for water safety.
Participants must have prior open water swimming experience and wear a bright swimming cap. Safety guidance states that if a swimmer gets into difficulty they should roll onto their back and raise one arm to attract assistance. The lake exit can be wet and slippery so extra care is advised.
Car parking is available at the Beacon Pub and is a short walk to registration and the start. Swimming in the lakes outside of authorised events or training sessions is not permitted and may lead to removal and disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
