Midsummer Trail - Thaxted
The event takes place on 24 June 2026 with Race HQ at the Farmhouse Inn, Monk Street, Thaxted CM6 2NR. The route is approximately 6 miles and the minimum age for participants is 17. TRA permit status is listed as awaiting approval.
This is a self navigation trail race using a written route description that will be issued on the day. There are no course markings, no marshals and no GPX file provided. The event is not a mass start; participants will be timed out and must return to the finish for timing.
Entry fees are shown as £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee. The entry price includes a £4 voucher to use in the pub on the night. A service fee of 4 percent applies to each sign-up with a minimum charge of 50p. Discounted entries apply for members of clubs affiliated to EA WA SA TRA until the stated closing date.
Running or walking with dogs is not allowed. Results will be posted on essextrailevents.com. No refunds are offered and transfers are not permitted after 17 June 2026. It is possible to enter additional participants under the same booking, but full contact and emergency details plus confirmation of terms and conditions must be provided before the closing date.
