Midnight Mountain Marathon
The Midnight Mountain Marathon is a set of trail races held in Brecon, Wales, within the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). The event includes four race options: a Marathon, a Half Marathon, and a bergen edition of each distance that adds a heavy pack.
Racing begins in daylight and continues into the hours of night, so some competitors may require a torch. Routes run on mountain trails and include significant ascent; the full Marathon route includes the "fan dance" featuring Pen Y Fan. Finishers receive medals and mugs of tea.
