About the race
This is the third running of the Midleton Greenway 10 Mile road race. The course is an out-and-back route along the new Midleton to Mogeely Greenway and is described as flat and fast. Athletics Ireland permit is held by Aghada RC (permit cert.
no: 26/459). Entries have closed, with a limited number of additional entries available on the morning of the race from the Midleton GAA ball alley (P25 RX85). General admission ticket price listed at €30. Tickets are non-refundable and ticket transfers are not allowed. All funds raised go directly to CEASC (Cork East Athletic Sporting Community) to support development of a regional athletics track and field facility in East Cork.
Registrants may also choose to donate to the local charity Horizons (formerly Cope Foundation) via the event fundraising option. Prizes are awarded for overall male and female finishers in places 1 to 6. Category prizes for females include 1st and 2nd place in O35, O40, O45, O50, O55, O60 and O65. Category prizes for males include 1st and 2nd place in O40, O45, O50, O55, O60, O65 and O70.
There will also be various spot prizes. On race day, bicycle pacers are not permitted; anyone pacing on a bicycle will be recorded as DNF. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
