Event overview
The Middlesbrough Half Marathon and Junior Race take place on Sunday 1 March 2026 in Centre Square, Albert Road, Middlesbrough. The event is presented by Science in Sport and runs in support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service. This will be the second year the event is held in the town centre.

The half marathon is one lap with total elevation of 67 m and a flat, road surface. The junior race has an elevation of 1 m and a flat, road surface. The course starts in Centre Square outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, goes through Albert Park, passes Riverside Stadium and loops around the docks to finish back in Centre Square.
Entries and what's included
Standard entry fees listed are: Half Marathon £32, Group Booking (6 places) £150, Junior Race £5. An optional RunThrough Kit Technical T-Shirt with the event logo is offered for £12 (retail value stated as £22).
Entries include a unique themed medal, chip-timed results, free race photos and post-race goodies. Marshals will be present on the course and an event village will offer food and drink options and free finish-line items from event partners.
