Middlesbrough Half Marathon & Junior Race

The Middlesbrough Half Marathon & Junior Race takes place in March 2026. The event is presented by Science in Sport and supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service as its charity of the year.

The road-closed course starts in Centre Square, outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery. It passes through Albert Park, goes by the Riverside Stadium (home of Middlesbrough FC), and loops around the docks before finishing back in Centre Square. The terrain is described as flat and on roads.

Participants receive a unique themed medal, chip-timed results, free race photos, and post-race goodies. The course is marked with kilometre flags, and marshals are present along the route.
