Middlesbrough Half Marathon Presented by Science in Sport
The Middlesbrough Half Marathon is a road-closed running event presented by Science in Sport and organised by RunThrough. The event supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service and takes place in the town centre.
The route starts in Centre Square outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, proceeds through Albert Park, passes the Riverside Stadium, home of Middlesbrough FC, loops around the historic docks and returns to Centre Square for a city-centre finish in front of spectators. Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and marshals guide and cheer along the course.
The event offers two race options:
- Half Marathon
- Junior Race
Entry includes a unique themed medal, chip timed results, free race photos and post race goodies. An event village provides food and drink options and free items from partners at the finish. Participants can purchase an event t-shirt at a discounted price through the event partner RT Kit.
