About the race
The Mid Cheshire event is a 5k road race held on 27 August 2027 in the Cheshire countryside at Ball Lane, Kingsley (postcode WA6 8HL). The course starts and finishes on Ball Lane where a full rolling road closure is used for the race. The organisers run a small Race HQ in a field on Mill Lane and provide parking in nearby fields; participants are asked to follow signs and marshal directions on the day.
The race uses a seeded start. It has hosted the England Athletics 5k championships in 2017 and 2018 and the recorded course bests are 13.37 and 15:03. Entry is priced at £28.00 with a £2 discount for validated UK Athletics members; a booking fee of 8 percent (minimum £0.80) is added at time of entry. Entrants must be 13 or over on race day.
Refreshments are provided for all finishers. The event holds or seeks a UKA licence (status TBA). The organiser’s stated refund policy does not allow refunds or deferrals, but entries can be transferred to another runner at no extra cost until midnight on the Monday of race week.
