Mid Cheshire 5k (Summer) 2026
Mid Cheshire 5k is a road race scheduled for 28 August 2026 in the Cheshire countryside near Kingsley. The course starts and finishes on Ball Lane and a full rolling road closure is used at the start and finish. The route is described as fast and has course records of 13.37 and 15:03. The event previously hosted the England Athletics 5k championships in 2017 and 2018.
A small Race HQ will be set up in a field on Mill Lane. Parking is provided in nearby fields and participants are asked to follow signs and marshal directions on the day. The event uses a seeded start. Refreshments are provided for finishers. A UK Athletics licence is to be announced.
Entry options and policies are specified for the event. The standard entry fee is £28.00 with a £2 discount for UK Athletics members, giving a reduced fee of £26.00 with membership validation. Entrants must be at least 13 years old on race day. The event currently operates a waiting list; if a place is offered it must be accepted within 48 hours and payment is taken only after acceptance. The organiser does not offer refunds or deferrals, but transfers to another runner are allowed subject to the published transfer deadline.
