Mic Morris Torfaen 10k
The Mic Morris Torfaen 10k is a road running event held in South Wales. The point-to-point course begins on Cwmavon Road in Blaenavon and concludes within the grounds of Pontypool Park. The route is described as fast, providing participants with the potential to achieve personal best times over the 10 km distance.
Participants have access to various onsite facilities at the venue, including changing rooms, toilets, and showers. Supervised bag storage is provided for those needing to secure personal items during the race. Refreshments are also available at the event site.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners receive a goody bag containing a medal, a technical t-shirt, water, and a banana. Trophies are awarded for specific categories. For logistical ease, the organizer provides optional transport for a fee from Pontypool to the starting area in Blaenavon to assist with parking arrangements.
In addition to the main road race, there are children's events organized by the same trust, including a 2 km Family Fun Run. Registration for the 10k event is open to the public and includes a standard entry fee, with a closing date for applications a few days prior to the race.
