MHRRC Summer Twilight Track Series
The series is a family oriented community track meet held at Union Vale Middle School in Lagrangeville, NY. It takes place on four consecutive Fridays in July: July 10, 17, 24, and 31. The series has been held for more than fifty years.
Races cover short youth sprints through longer open distance events. There are no field events and all races are hand timed. Every runner 14 and under receives a finisher ribbon in each race. Runners use the same bib for each evening and should expect to reuse it across events. Organizers may delay or cancel an evening if there is an imminent thunderstorm and will provide updates.
Two registration options are listed for the whole four evening series: a family entry and an individual entry. Registration opens June 19 and closes July 31; published fees include a family fee and an individual fee.
On July 10 only, a 5K on the track replaces the 3200 meter run for runners with an average mile pace near 7 minutes or faster. 5K timing will conclude at the 25 minute mark.
Kid's race distances include:
- 40, 50, 75, and 100 meter straightaway dashes
- 200 meter dash
- 400 meter dash

- 800 meter dash
- 1600 meter run
- 3200 meter run or 5K on July 10
