About the race
The Monster Dash 5K is an annual fall road race in Milton, Massachusetts, organized by the Milton Foundation for Education (MFE). The 2026 edition takes place on October 25, 2026, in Milton.
Proceeds from the Monster Dash support science education in Milton Public Schools. MFE created a fund in memory of a Tucker Elementary School student who had a passion for science; the race raises money that extends science offerings beyond the school system’s regular budget.
Through the Science Across Milton initiative, students and teachers gain access to interactive lessons, teacher training, educational resources, and partnerships with organizations such as the Blue Hills Trailside Museum. The event has been held for more than 25 years and brings families, runners, and the local community together each fall.
