About the race
Metro Aberdeen Running Club presents the Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027 at the Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. The event is promoted under SAL rules and the course has been measured with a Jones counter.
Races take place on the first Friday of the month from October to March. The scheduled dates are 2 October 2026, 6 November 2026, 4 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 5 February 2027 and 5 March 2027.
Entry is by pre-entry only and the fee is £3 per race; competitors must register for each race. Race numbers are collected on the day and the same number should be kept for the series. Participants should report to registration at each race to confirm participation. The organiser provides a facility to change competitors if a registered person cannot attend.
Series scoring uses accumulated times from three races to determine overall standings. Series prizes will be awarded in various categories. A separate junior series is held for under-16s.
The event lists a total of 120 places. The promenade location is approximately 150 metres north of the Beach Leisure Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
