Merrimack Sparkler 5K
The Merrimack Sparkler 5K is an annual road race held on July 4, 2027, that benefits the Merrimack High School and Middle School track and cross country programs. The event starts and finishes on the track at Merrimack High School, 38 McElwain Street, Merrimack, NH. The certified 5K course follows two laps that include McElwain Street, Baboosic Lake Road, and O'Gara Drive and is described as flat.

Racing details note that runners line up by expected pace and complete a partial lap of the track before continuing the two main loops and finishing on the track. Awards are given to the top two overall male and female finishers and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group. Results are posted and an awards table is available for pick up.
Entry fees vary by date: on or before March 31, 2027 adults $30 and youth $25; April 1 to July 2 adults $35 and youth $30; after July 2 registration is $40 for all participants. Race day registration is available and the event is cashless. Packet pickup is scheduled July 3 at the VFW on DW Highway and on July 4 at Merrimack High School.
