Trick or Tri at Merrill Ranch
Trick or Tri at Merrill Ranch is a multisport event held at Merrill Ranch in Florence, Arizona. The event includes adult and youth triathlon options, aquabike, duathlon, and relay categories. Swimming takes place in a pool at the Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center.
Distances:
- Adult triathlon: Swim 400 m, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles
- Aquabike: Swim 400 m, Bike 12 miles
- Duathlon: Run 3 miles, Bike 12 miles, Run 1.5 miles
- Youth triathlon: Swim 200 m, Bike 6 miles, Run 1.5 miles
Swim starts are individual with 15 second gaps and seeding from fastest to slowest. Adult athletes complete four bike loops and youth athletes complete two bike loops. Helmets are required for all bike portions. The adult bike route exits transition at the Anthem Merrill Ranch Community Center, continues north on N. Anthem Way and west on Merrill Ranch Parkway to a turnaround at Felix.
The event is chip timed; chips are worn on the left ankle, must be returned at the finish line, and lost or unreturned chips will be charged to the athlete. Racer amenities include a race long sleeve hoodie, post race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top finishers. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and requires participants to hold an annual or one day USAT membership. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
