Trick or Tri at Merrill Ranch
Trick or Tri at Merrill Ranch is a multisport event held in Florence, AZ, featuring triathlon, aquabike, duathlon, youth triathlon, and relay options. The event uses a pool for the swim legs and looped bike and run courses around the Merrill Ranch area.
Swim starts are individual, spaced 15 seconds apart, with athletes seeded fastest to slowest and directed by posted estimated swim-time signs. Adult swim distance is 400 m in a lane-based pool setup; youth swim is 200 m.
Race timing is chip based. Chips must be worn on the left ankle, kept from start to finish, and returned at the finish line; lost or unreturned chips will be charged. The swim-to-bike transition begins at the Anthem Merrill Ranch Community Center pool gate; participants are asked not to enter the community center. Helmets are required for all bike legs.
Amenities include a race long-sleeve hoodie, post-race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top finishers by category. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must be annual members or purchase a one-day membership. Parking is at Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center, 3200 North Anthem Way, Florence AZ.
