Merrill Ranch Triathlon : Triathlon, Aquabike and Duathlon in Florence, AZ
The Merrill Ranch Triathlon is a pool-based multisport event held at Merrill Ranch, Florence, Arizona. Race formats include adult triathlon, aquabike, duathlon and a youth triathlon with measured swim, bike and run legs. The adult swim takes place in lanes with athletes started individually in short gaps and seeded by estimated swim time. Bike and run courses consist of multiple loops on designated lanes and park paths with separation between bike traffic and vehicles.

- Adult triathlon: 400 m swim, 12 miles bike, 3 miles run
- Aquabike: 400 m swim, 12 miles bike
- Duathlon: 3 miles run, 12 miles bike, 1.5 miles run
- Youth triathlon: 200 m swim, 6 miles bike, 1.5 miles run
Timing is electronic with triathlon chips worn on the left ankle and returned at the finish; lost or unreturned chips incur a charge. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and requires participants to hold a membership or purchase a one day membership. Racer amenities include a long sleeve race hoodie, post-race refreshments and finisher medals for all participants. Awards are presented three deep in age groups and for specialty categories such as Clydesdale, Athena, aquabike, duathlon and relays.
