Mercy Race for the Future
The Mercy Race for the Future is an inaugural athletic event hosted by Mercy Health Services at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. This event commemorates the 150th anniversary of the organization and supports the Mercy Forever campaign. The proceeds from the event are directed toward programs that expand healthcare access, advance medical innovation, and strengthen community services.
Participants can choose from multiple event categories:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual Run/Walk
Every finisher in the in-person and virtual categories receives a race medal and a commemorative t-shirt. The event gathers a wide range of participants, including patients, medical caregivers, employees, corporate partners, and families, to honor the legacy of the local health system.
The courses are situated within the grounds of the Maryland Zoo, located at 1 Safari Place. For those unable to attend the physical location in Baltimore, the virtual option allows individuals to participate from their own locations while still contributing to the mission of the anniversary campaign. Registration fees are utilized to cover the organizational costs of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
