Mercer County Health Department Turkey Trot 5K
The Mercer County Health Department Turkey Trot is a family-friendly Gobble Wobble run/walk held on the streets of Aledo, Illinois. The course begins and ends at the Mercer County Health Department located at 305 NW 7th Street, Aledo, IL 61231. All ages and abilities are welcome.

- 5K road race
- Virtual 5K option
The first mile includes a couple of hills, then a slight grade that flattens for the remainder of the course. Every registered participant receives an event t-shirt and RFID chip timing with results posted online. Water stations are placed on the course, and snacks and beverages are provided at the finish.
Registration fees listed for the event are $30.00 for the in-person 5K and $40.00 for the virtual 5K. Proceeds benefit the Mercer County Health Department Client Assistance Fund, which helps meet a range of needs for individuals and families in the community by removing barriers to essential services and assisting with unexpected needs.
