About the race
The Merced Turkey Trot is organized by the Merced Running Club and takes place at Lake Yosemite next to UC Merced on November 21, 2026. The event offers running and walking options for families and participants of different ages and supports a local charity.
Distances offered:
- Kids 1K for ages 10 and under, includes a kid's finisher medal.
- 2 Mile Run/Walk, chip timed, includes an adult commemorative finisher medal.
- 5 Mile Run, chip timed, includes an adult commemorative finisher medal.
Timing for the 2 mile and 5 mile events is provided by On Your Mark Events. The event accepts new unwrapped toys in exchange for a raffle ticket, and proceeds benefit the Toys for Tots Merced County Chapter. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 7; afterward shirts are available while supplies last.
Fees are listed by age group: Kid's 1K $15 (medal included, no T-shirt), 2 Mile and 5 Mile $30 for ages 18 and under, $35 for adults 19 and over. Fees increase by $5 on race day.
