Mendon Mauler Trail Run
The Mendon Mauler is a trail running event at Mendon Ponds Park with options for 4 miles or 8 miles. The course is a 4 mile loop using the North Meadow (Dark Blue) and East Esker (Dark Green) trails; 8 mile entrants complete two loops. Each 4 mile loop has an elevation gain of about 350 ft.
The course is entirely off road except for two road crossings and is marked with pink surveying flags and yellow arrow signs. Trail shoes are recommended; cross spikes are not suggested. Participants must carry their own water and nutrition because the event is cup free and there is no hydration on course. If participants remain on course after 8:00pm, a headlamp is recommended.
Registration includes event timing and scoring, online results, a premium blend cotton t shirt for those registered by May 24, 2025 with the option to upgrade to a technical short sleeve top for an added fee, and a post race cookout and drink. By registering, participants acknowledge that the date, time, location, or distance may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled and that refunds, transfers, or deferrals are not allowed unless otherwise stated.
Day of packet pickup is held at Stewart Lodge. Parking is available in the Beach Lot off Douglas Road and near Canfieldwoods Shelter. Awards are given for the 8 mile race to top male and female finishers and age group winners; there are no awards for the 4 mile race.
