Men of Purple and Gold 5K Run/Walk
The Men of Purple and Gold 5K Run/Walk is the fifth annual 5K event held at 4077 Flowood Drive, Flowood, MS. The event raises funds for cancer and dementia causes; donations from the walk are designated for the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association. Sponsors who contribute $100 or more before July 24 can have a name or company name printed on the event T shirt. T shirts are free to walkers and may also be purchased without participating.
The event offers several registration options with published fees for each category. Registration categories include general public, first responders, a virtual 5K, and a kids fun run for ages 10 and under. Online pre registration and on site registration are indicated as available. A fundraising organization named Aspire Foundation is associated with the event and accepts donations.
