Memorial Triathlon Overview
The Memorial Triathlon is a multi-sport event held in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. The competition begins at New Brighton High School and follows a designated course through the local area. Participation is open to both male and female athletes who are at least 18 years of age.
Participants have the option to enter the event as individuals or as part of a relay team. The triathlon includes the following three disciplines and distances:
- 300 meter serpentine swim
- 11 mile bike ride
- 5 kilometer run
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Participants who do not hold an active membership with the organization are required to purchase a one-day membership for the competition, as this fee is not included in the standard registration cost.
Check-in procedures take place on the morning of the race, followed by a mandatory pre-race meeting for all athletes. Registration fees vary based on the date of entry, with early bird, normal, late, and same-day registration tiers available. While a commemorative T-shirt is included with registration, the size is not guaranteed for those who sign up during the late or same-day registration periods.
