Memorial Day Trail Race - Whitewater
The Memorial Day Trail Race is a trail running event at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. The event offers three course options: 3 miles, 5 miles, and 8 miles. Each distance has at least one aid station with hydration available along the route.
- 3 miles - aid at ~1.1 mile
- 5 miles - aid at ~0.8, ~2.1, ~4.3 miles
- 8 miles - aid at ~0.8, ~2.2, ~4.9 miles
Pre-registration and day-of registration pricing differs by distance; pre-registration is available through May 27, 2027. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at the South Conference Center. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who pre-register on or before May 17, 2027.
All participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver may be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site. Registration is non-refundable. Trails used for the race remain open to other runners, hikers and bikers; participants are asked to communicate when passing. No e-bikes or other powered transport are permitted. Events may proceed rain or shine and the center may alter, reschedule, or cancel an event. The Whitewater Center does not conduct trail rescues; participants must call 911 in an emergency. Parking fees apply.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups for each distance, and winners must be present at the award ceremony to receive awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
