Memorial Day Hero Salute
The 2nd Annual Memorial Day Hero Salute is organized by Rad Racing Company at Town Center Park in Kingwood, Texas on May 25, 2026. The event offers both on-site and virtual race options and raises funds for military-related charities.
Event distances include:
- MURPH - 2 Miles
- LOREDO - 1.5 Miles
- HALF MARATHON - 13.1 Miles
- 10K - 10K
- 5K - 5K
- KIDS MINI-SALUTE (10 & under) - 250 m
Some races include structured workout elements. MURPH is one timed round: 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air-squats, 1-mile run. LOREDO is timed for six rounds of 24 air-squats, 24 push-ups, 24 lunges, and a 0.25-mile run. The kids mini-salute is one round with a 0.25-mile run, 12 air-squats, 12 push-ups, 12 sit-ups, and a 0.25-mile run.
Virtual options allow participants to choose when and where to complete the distance. Post-race activities listed include awards, a kids and winners tug-of-war, music, vendor booths and refreshments. Participants receive a custom race shirt, finisher medal and race bib. Proceeds benefit Semper Fi & Americas Fund, Impact a Hero and We Run for Him.
