Event overview
The Memorial Day Hero Salute is set for May 25, 2026 in Kingwood, TX, at Town Center Park (8 N Main St). The event is organized by Rad Racing Company and benefits Semper Fi & America's Fund, Impact a Hero, and We Run for Him. All event participants receive a custom race shirt, finisher medal, and race bib. Pre-race activities include music, sponsor and vendor booths, and a donation drawing. Race formats and logistics
- MURPH - 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air-squats, 1-mile run
- LOREDO - 6 rounds: 24 air-squats, 24 push-ups, 24 lunges, 0.25-mile run
- HALF MARATHON - road distance event
- 10K - road distance event
- 5K - road distance event
- KIDS MINI-SALUTE - 0.25-mile run, 12 air-squats, 12 push-ups, 12 sit-ups, 0.25-mile run
- Virtual runs - digital bib, event shirt, medal, packet shipped after the race
- Volunteer then Run - discounted entry for helpers (available to Loredo and 5K participants)
Awards include overall and age-group placements for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon; top placements for MURPH, LOREDO, and Kids Salute are also recognized. The event has a strict no-refund policy; in inclement weather the start may be delayed up to one hour, the course may be altered, or the event may be cancelled at the Race Director's discretion.
