Bearkat Bash
The Bearkat Bash is an established community event held at Klein High School in Spring, Texas. This athletic gathering serves as a fundraiser for the Klein High School Cross Country team as well as other local schools and organizations within the Klein Independent School District. The event takes place on the school grounds and proceeds contribute to supporting student programs.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K Run: A timed athletic event.
- 5K Walk: A non-timed walking course.
- Kids 1K: A run or walk specifically designed for children.
The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, including rain. Participants who register by April 1 are provided a guaranteed t-shirt size, while supplies after this date are limited. Registered participants can collect their event packets at the high school on the Friday afternoon preceding the race. For those who wish to support the cause without participating in the physical activities, a separate registration option is available. An awards ceremony follows the completion of the timed running event once results are verified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
