Melrose Riverfest 5K/1K Run/Walk, June 27, 2026
The event takes place at Sauk River Park in Melrose, Minnesota, located at 206 5th Ave NE. The program includes a professionally timed 5K Run/Walk and a separate 1K Run/Walk that remains inside the park.

Registration is required for the 5K. Registration opens on May 4. An early registration fee of $30 applies through June 12 and includes a t-shirt and a "support local" bag. A higher fee applies after June 12; registrations after that date do not include a t-shirt. Same-day registration is allowed for the 5K but does not include a t-shirt or the "support local" bag. The 1K does not require prior registration; participants should sign up at the registration table on the day of the event.
Prizes are awarded by place and age category. For the 5K, first place male and female receive a $50 Scheels gift card. First and second place male and female in each age category receive medals. For the 1K, first and second place male and female receive medals. Prizes are distributed immediately after results are posted; winners pick up prizes when their name is called at registration.
