Melrose Riverfest 5K/1K Run/Walk
Melrose Riverfest takes place on June 27, 2026, at Sauk River Park in Melrose, Minnesota. The event includes a professionally timed 5K run and a separate 1K run/walk that remains inside Sauk River Park.
Registration for the 5K opens May 1. Early registration carries a lower fee and includes a t-shirt and a "support local" bag; later and same-day registration are available without the t-shirt or bag. The 1K is free and does not require prior registration; on-site registration is handled at the registration table.
Distances:
- 5K: professionally timed race
- 1K: untimed and free, route stays inside the park
Prize details are specified for both distances. For the 5K, first place male and female receive a $50 Scheels gift card; first and second place male and female in each age category receive medals. For the 1K, first and second place male and female receive medals. Prizes are distributed immediately after winners are identified and are available for pickup when names are called at the registration area.
