Mellow Trail Race : Pace Bend Park
Mellow Trail Race is a trail running event at Pace Bend Park on the peninsula into Lake Travis near Spicewood, Texas. The event date is September 12, 2026. The course uses a main 13.1 mile loop with a 5k shortcut; longer and shorter distances are formed by repeating or combining these loops. The finish line is placed as close to the edge of Lake Travis as practical, and course distances may vary slightly with the lake level, so distances are listed as "ish."

The trails run clockwise and include rocky, rooty, hard-packed sections with frequent elevation changes and lake overlooks. One shoreline has zero-entry access while the opposite shore is rocky and cliff-like.
Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows on stakes and trees, and confidence markers. Signs at intersections indicate which way for each distance. Aid stations are staffed at the start/finish (LAKE A.S.) and JACK A.S. with food, water, Tailwind, Saltstick, ice, and snacks; ROAD A.S. and GATE A.S. offer at minimum water, Tailwind, ice, and snacks, and unstaffed stations may not have ice all day.
Drop bags may be placed at the start/finish area and at the GATE 360 Bridge spot around mile 9; runners must manage their own drop bags. All distances are chip timed with ankle chips; results show gun time and chip time. For 2026 only, the race is partnered with the Great Springs Project.
