Mellow Trail Race
The Mellow Trail Race is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at Pace Bend Park in Spicewood, Texas (2001 N. Pace Bend Rd.). The event uses trails on a peninsula into Lake Travis; one shoreline is shallow while the opposite side has rocky cliffs. The finish area is located as close to the lake edge as practical, and shoreline changes may cause distances to vary slightly.

The course is built around a main 13.1 mile loop with a separate 5k loop. The marathon is two full 13.1 mile loops; the 10k is two 5k loops. Both courses run clockwise. Trails include rocky and root-strewn sections and occasional climbs that provide lake views.
Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and numerous confidence markers; intersections where shorter distances break off are signed with distance-specific directions. The race is cupless: runners should bring a cup or bottle. Collapsible cups are available for purchase at packet pickup. Staffed aid stations supply water, Tailwind, electrolytes, ice, and snacks; some unstaffed stations may not have ice all day.
A $10 park day-use fee is collected during registration for one day of access; additional park fees apply if staying beyond that day. The shirt order cutoff is August 18. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
