Old Town Rudolph Run

The Old Town Rudolph Run is an annual running event held in the historic district of Leander, Texas. Organized by the Leander Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center, the race enters its 11th year of operation. The primary event offered is a chip-timed 5K race.

The course is designed to be flat and fast, utilizing paved city streets with no hills or rough terrain. Participants begin and end the race at the intersection of West Willis Street and Bagdad Street. The route tours through the central streets of Old Town Leander. Runners who do not complete the distance within one hour and twenty minutes are redirected to the Chamber of Commerce office to collect their finisher materials to allow for road reopening.

Registered participants in the 5K receive a shirt and a custom color finisher medal upon crossing the line. An awards ceremony follows the competition, where gold medals are presented to the top male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over.

The event is stroller-friendly and permits dogs, provided they are kept on leashes. Packet pickup is available on the Thursday and Friday preceding the event at the Leander Chamber of Commerce, or at the start line on the morning of the race. Parking is located in the LISD lots surrounding the area and along the streets of Old Town, with primary access recommended via South West Drive from Crystal Falls Parkway. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
