Melbourne 9/11 Memorial 5K
The Melbourne 9/11 Memorial 5K is the seventh annual running event held to benefit the Melbourne Firefighters. It takes place on September 5, 2026 at Eau Gallie Square, 1453 Highland Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901.
The event offers two formats on the same course: a 5K individual race and a 5K team entry. Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes September 3, 2026. Published entry fees are $40 for the 5K individual entry and $35 per person for team entries; fees increase on race weekend. Shirt size and availability are not guaranteed after August 16.
Packet pickup and on-site late registration are scheduled the day before at Running Zone and on race day at Eau Gallie Square. An awards ceremony takes place immediately following the race.
Awards are presented across multiple categories including top three overall men and women, masters (40+) men and women, and top three men and women in standard age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus. Team awards include fastest team with a minimum of four runners and a fastest first responder team with a minimum of four. Additional awards recognize the fastest first responder in gear and the fastest first responder team of four in gear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
