Melbourne 9/11 Memorial 5K
The Melbourne 9/11 Memorial 5K is the seventh annual running event held to benefit the Melbourne Firefighters. The event takes place at Eau Gallie Square, 1453 Highland Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901, and includes both individual and team 5K entries.
Registration opens on 2026-05-01 and closes on 2026-09-03. The listed registration fees are $40 for the 5K individual entry and $35 per person for the 5K team entry; higher fees apply after 2026-09-03 and on race day. Packet pickup and registration occur the day before at Running Zone and the morning of the event at Eau Gallie Square. Shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed after 2026-08-10.

Awards are presented across multiple categories: top three overall men and women, top masters (40+) men and women, top three men and women in age groups from 9 & under through 80+, fastest team (minimum of four, must be coed), fastest first responder team (minimum of four), fastest first responder in gear (pants, jacket, and air tank), and fastest first responder team of four in gear.
