About the race
The Medway Turkey Trot is a community road race held on Thanksgiving in Medway, Massachusetts. The event is organized to establish and continue a local tradition and to provide funding to the Medway Public Schools Athletic Department. It takes place at Medway High School, 88 Summer Street, Medway MA 02053.
The event typically attracts over 1,000 runners and spectators each year. The primary race distance is 5K. Published registration pricing includes a standard 5K fee of $34.09 and a reduced 5K fee for participants 18 and under of $23.39; early pricing is shown as $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 5K 18 and under, plus processing fees.
A community food drive is run in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Medway to benefit local food pantries. Drop off opportunities include dates before the event at the Medway High School lobby and a drop off on race day at the Medway High School cafeteria.
Pre-registration and bib pickup are scheduled on dates prior to the race at Medway High School. T shirts are provided to the first 1000 registered runners with an October 31 registration date cited to guarantee size. Medals are awarded to top male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers across specified age divisions; awards are mailed rather than presented in a ceremony.
