Medford SwimFest #1
Medford SwimFest #1 takes place on April 26, 2026 in Medford, New Jersey, at 1303 Stokes Rd. The event features multiple open water swim races and a combined SwimRun event.
- 800 meter open water swim
- 1600 meter open water swim
- 2400 meter open water swim
- SwimRun: 1600 meter swim and 5K run
The swim uses an 800 meter loop. The 800 meter race is one lap, the 1600 meter race is two laps, and the 2400 meter race is three laps. The SwimRun swim portion is two laps of the swim course followed by one lap of the 5K run course. Participants remain in the water between laps and exit only after their final swim lap to finish on land.
Racing will use an in water start with a wave format. Swimmers who remain in the water when the next race begins are allowed to finish and will not be pulled. Each race allows a 10 minute warm up near the start area. Competitors may enter more than one event; awards are available for each event entered but only one participant swag bag will be issued.
The event is professionally chip timed and results will be provided. Course support includes water and food at the finish line for volunteers and participants. Event rules require wearing the provided swim cap with the bib number written on it, and fins are not permitted. Wetsuits are allowed if water temperature is below 78.0°F and are recommended in April when water temperatures are usually in the 60s. Custom overall and age group awards are given to the top three men and women in overall and 10 year age groups. Approximately 10 to 12 volunteers are needed. No refunds will be issued; transfers are possible if requested at least 14 days in advance for a nominal fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
