Run Aware 5K 2026
Run Aware is a low-key trail race held at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda, MD. The event uses cross country trails with hills and sections that run near streams, and early spring conditions can make the course wet and muddy. A course map is available. The event includes both an adult 5K and a youth run.

This race is part of the club low-key series. Entry is free for club members, who must sign up for a 2026 bib and chip and may exchange older chips or provide a $5 chip deposit if needed. Non-members pay a registration fee of $22 for participants 18 and older and $11.60 for participants under 18; fees include registration and processing. Online registration remains open through the start of the race. Bib and chip pickup occurs on race morning near the start area and volunteers are available to assist.
Youth run participants must be registered in advance by a parent or guardian; youth runs do not use timing chips. The event is staffed by volunteers and volunteers are needed to support the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
