McLaren Vale Running Festival
The McLaren Vale Running Festival is scheduled for 18 October 2026 in the McLaren Vale wine region, with courses routed along the Shiraz Trail. The event serves as the closing race of the Triple Vine Series and offers multiple distances over sealed trail and local roads.
Distances offered:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km (half marathon)
Event services include electronic timing with a downloadable certificate, finisher medals, optional finish-line result SMS, drink stations, first aid, overall trophies and age-category awards. SARRC members are eligible for prize money for first, second and third place male and female finishers: half marathon and 10 km 1st $250, 2nd $150, 3rd $100; 5 km 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50. Free event photos will be available for download from the organiser's SmugMug gallery. A free kids fun run with a medal is also part of the program.
Entry fees for the 2026 event vary by registration period: 5 km $40–$50, 10 km $60–$70, 21.1 km $90–$110; medal engraving is $9. Members receive a 20% discount off general fees and eligible youth entries receive a 10% discount. Bib collection is arranged at RunDNA in Hindmarsh, at a McLaren Vale collection (location to be confirmed) and at the race start line.
