McLaren Vale Running Festival
The McLaren Vale Running Festival is scheduled for 18 October 2026 and closes out the Triple Vines Series. The event is set in the McLaren Vale wine region and uses sections of the Shiraz Trail for its race routes.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km (half marathon)
Participants receive a finisher medal and electronic timing with a certificate. Event services include optional finish line result SMS, overall and age category awards, prize money for SARRC members, drink stations, first aid provision, finish line and post event experiences, and free event photos available for download. A free kids fun run with a medal is also part of the program.
Entry fees vary by registration period. Typical 2026 general fees range approximately from $50 for the 5 km, $70 for the 10 km, and $110 for the half marathon; medal engraving is available for an additional fee. SARRC members receive a 20 percent discount off general fees and eligible youth entries receive a 10 percent discount.
Bib collection is organised on the days before and on race day with locations including RunDNA in Hindmarsh and a McLaren Vale collection point. Course details for 2026 are to be confirmed; in 2025 the start was at McLaren Vale Oval. The Shiraz Trail course includes road crossings where roads remain open and runners have right of way, so short delays may occur. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
