SANGAMAM '26 Run for a Cause
SANGAMAM '26 is a community run event held at Tipton Park South Shelter, 2401 General Electric Road, Bloomington, IL 61704 on July 25, 2026. The event includes multiple short distance runs and a run or walk option intended to bring the local Indian community together and support local charitable programs.
Distances offered:
- 5K run
- 2K run or walk
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026. The registration fee is $20.00. Proceeds from the event profit will be donated to local non profit organizations that run programs to overcome poverty and provide food supplies for people in need.
Registered children under 15 years will receive toy water guns and there are planned post race children’s activities. T shirt and bib pickup is scheduled for July 24, 2026 at Tipton Park South Shelter, and collection is also available on race day.
Awards are given for both distances. Each distance has top overall male and female recognitions and age bracket awards for male and female in the following groups: 7 and below, 8 to 10, 11 to 13, 14 to 17, 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 and up.
