Event overview
The 15th Annual McConnell 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk is a fundraiser benefiting the OhioHealth Foundation, held on May 9, 2026, at the McConnell Heart Health Center in Columbus, OH (3773 Olentangy River Rd, 43214). The event includes two distances and is open to a wide age range. Entry fees include a short sleeve event t-shirt and a goody bag. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 19.

Course and logistics
Both events take place entirely on the McConnell Heart Health Center campus and start near the pond at the back of the property. The course uses paved roads, parking-lot loops, and a partially wooded looped trail around the campus. The route is described as mostly flat with some rolling hills and one notable uphill section on the trail. There is one water stop along the course. Dogs are not allowed. The event is scheduled to be held rain or shine and may be canceled for dangerous weather conditions.
Timing, awards and other details
Both the 5K and 1 Mile walk are chip timed; timing chips are attached to the race bibs. Awards for the 5K include Top Overall male and female and Top 3 Age Group male and female finishers; the 1 Mile walk awards Top Overall male and female. Early packet pickup is offered before race day. Parking is available at the McConnell Heart Health Center. Registered participants are entered into a door-prize drawing.
